15" Wheels

For what it's worth i have a set of CSA alloys on my 89 Syncro have had these on since brand new now over 300 000ks
and never had a problem with them (had to get porsche nuts) stamped on them is BCW-CSA  7JJx15  501-E24             I am running 215/75/R15 Khumo's on them    There website is csadirect.com.au  Had a look at the site but but they don't mention VW models but maybe a call will help

I am also interested in 15"wheels but only in the steel version.

What I really like to know is, what is the optimum wheel/tyre
combination for a stock standard Syncro.
Looking at a general ratio of 60% on bitumen, 30% on gravel and the
rest on 4wd tracks.

Perhaps Volkswagon did give us the correct combination or is there
room for improvement.
I have read on this forum, so many different opinions and I am rather
at a loss.
