A great afternoon

Many of you may know what Andrew and Mel are travelling around
Australia in their '92 Transporter Deluxe.

"Easy to spot", says Andrew, "with all those bits and bobs hanging off
it."

Well, Deb and I invited Andrew & Mel over to swap a few stories and
enjoy lunch on a lovely Autumn afternoon in Camden.

Andrew & Mel have done much work to their beloved vehicle since
leaving Perth, most of which was completed in Melbourne, including new
(rebuilt transmission) and the fitment of an EJ25 Subaru 2.5 litres.
The 2.5 was required to haul the 2.5 tonnes the vehicle now officially
weighs in at.

They are around the Sydney basin area for a little longer before
heading north for the winter, as no doubt most of us would like to do.

As Les noted in his post, they have met many other Syncro owners,
including a lady in her 70s. Andrew reported that without exception,
each of the owners they encounter are very enthusiastic about their
vehicles and give the impression they are unlikely to part with them
in the near future.

I highly recommend if you have a chance in your local area to meet up,
do so.

Regards,
Mark.

PS - some photos from today have been posted in a new album "Member
Meetups"
Thank you Mark and Deb.  This is the Syncro_T3_Australia group working at its best.  We hope that Andrew and Melissa might be able to post the occasional progress report as they travel.

Les
