Get the name you always wanted with the new y7mail email address.
Check the adjustment/function of the idle position microswitch on the throttle body.

Hi Robert,

it would pay to take out the catalytic converter and check if its is cracked or broken or had a melt down. If any of these sign show o=up, take a steel bar and knock the ceramic stuff out and put back the empty shell. Leave as is and drive until such time you want to fit a new unit.

This happened to me with all the symptoms you are describing. Please let us know how you are going and if it is ok afterwards.
Cheers
Hartmut

That happened about 3 years ago ,youve just rerminded me, and thats what the mechanic did. So there should be nothing in the catalytic converter now because he did as you said. DO you have another idea??? if so please let me know

Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage.

Gday Robert and ALL,

When I was on Bribie Island late last year with my syncro, Rudi said he
highly recommended a business on Bribie (name escapes me) ... a guy who
is a real whiz ... specialises in engine management. If Rudi likes him,
can't be recommended higher than that IMHO. Question arises though ...
can you get the sick syncro to Bribie?

Hartmut, if you are talking to Rudi sometime soon, maybe you would be
good enough to ask him the business name and contact details. Cheers.
Ken.

Hi all - Hartmut was dictating a response for you Robert this morning and wanted to give you Rudi's phone number at the same time. But as we are moving, all important things somehow are vanishing when one needs them.
Anyway, now that you are all saying the same, I got stuck into some boxes and VOILA - I found it!!!
Rudi: 073408 6669

Hartmut will also try and ring Rudi to get the name of the business you are referring to Ken!

It is raining here - has been doing this for weeks now - it is just crazy!!!!
Enjoy the rest of the Sunday afternoon.
Cheers
Elke (for Hartmut)
