Front anti-swaybar removal

Just a question to anyone that has or know of anyone that has removed their swaybar to improve wheel articulation when 4x4ing.  This was something we would do on my 80 series and it made a huge improvement in keeping to wheels on the ground..   But of course cornering was crap and there were some that fitted disconnects that allowed an quick disconnect reconnect..
I understand the difference that the 80 series was a live front end the syncro independent...  Anyway is it something that can be done and is it useful on a syncro off road?   Or waste of time?

Landcruiser has a live axle so it would make a big difference. The limiting factor with the syncro is independent front suspension.
