Fully Sync 2011

Hello All,
Now the Fully Sync tour is only weeks away I would like to get an update on the numbers.
So to all those who have answered the poll thanks and to those who can update their pending answers please do so.
If those who are attending can send an email direct to me a.s.a.p with the numbers of persons attending per vehicle so I can
compile a list and let the venue know.
I will be supplying more details direct to those attending in the near future.

Rick

Is this for the Shallow Crossing venture? Perhaps give us some dates too.

Rick,

We have a wedding to do now on Saturday 15th, but we could possibly come through on the Sunday 16th. Where are you likely to be that day?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Skot

Hi Scott,
Come as you please, the Sun is planned for a relax day to catch up with each other and check out the vans. If it was as hot as last time we will probably swimming the Clyde river in the natural spas and the ladies will likely be sipping Champagne. Also on this Sunday I am planning the photo shoot.
cheers
Rick.

Neil,
Just the usual Citizens Band (CB) 40 channel two-way handheld radio or else a fitted in-car unit incl. external aerial, both utilising the 477MHz UHF FM band, unlicensed maximum legal 5 watt power output. Available in a store near you for low to mid price handhelds or else online or at specialty outlets for higher quality/cost handheld or in-car units & optional accessories.
The same radio frequency as Oz caravanners and truckies use.
Cheers.
Ken

Dear Rick,
Have answered the poll saying I'm unfortunately a less than 20% possibility. I get back from Tasmania on the Ferry on the 16th and pick up my wife the next evening from the airport. I'm tempted to then take off and drive (from Melb.) until I need to sleep probably getting to Shallow Crossing wed late afternoon as you return from the day's fun. I would really like to meet up with those attending  but am wondering if its worth it for 2/3 days as have to be back for another engagement in Melbourne the following week.
I'm therefore probably saying no but if I come bumping in on Wednesday don't release the hounds on me.I presume 1 more could be squeezed in and I can fix up the "landlord" if I arrive.
If I don't make it have a great time and I look forward to the photos/video.
Roger

Hi Roger,

We will be there with bells on and it would be great to see you.  Unfortunately we may have to leave early on the Wednesday night, but if you can find a way to get there then I will try to find a way to stay and we can reminisce about old times when we crossed mighty rivers in great style, forged onward against insurmountable odds, took on the untamed wilderness, wrestled huge crocodiles, I digress..........
If you pick up your wife on the night of the 17th, get a good night's sleep at home then get up early on the 18th you may be able to get to Shallow Crossing that night ie. Tuesday.  I have come to the conclusion that I can cover distances best if I sleep at night and drive in the day time.  It doesn't pay to drive too far into the night as this makes you too tired the next day.  I stop at 8:00 or 9:00pm and sleep then get up and drive at 5:00 or 6:00am and stop for a quick breakfast at 8:00 after getting a couple of hundred kays under my belt.  This once got me from Sydney to Cairns in two days.
Just some ideas.........

Neil.
