Gear Change

Away up north (cold wet Northern Victoria that is) and gear change has become a bit odd.

Neutral to first just won't go in at all. It was always a bit stiff but now refuses to even try. Second to first is fine as is reverse then first.

Thanks,

Jon.

P.s. Just discovered Heathcote Shiraz and very impressed.
Sorry should have said, any ideas what the issue could be?

Cheers,

Jon.

Hi Jon, not sure about your gearbox issues, have not come across that before. But have to agree with you on the Heathcote shiraz, flynn's winery just north of Heathcote is one of my favorite. Hope you have luck with your gearbox.

Cheers,
Michael R

Hi Jon, take off the linkage at the gearbox end and shift through the gears. If first is engaging it'e the linkage adjustment. If it's not engaging, ring  Racetrans , Ron, at  0428 625 730.
Pls keep us in the loop.

Thanks Hart will do when we get home.

Got a couple of days off work and heading to the border. Attached is a photo of life on the road. Why doesn't everyone have a Syncro?

Cheers,

Jon.

Jon Try looking at the nut that holds the bracket onto the selector shaft where it enters the gearbox on RHS. Mine came undone slightly causing a similar issue. Easy fix if your lucky.
