Geelong Waterfront

Sunday 10 October

 

The Geelong Waterfront is on again this year.  This is now a VW Club of Victoria official event.  It was very well attended last year and we could certainly have a better turn-out of Syncros this year.

 

This is an easy run down for anyone living on the north and west side of Melbourne .  It would be fun to convoy down, using the usual VWCOV meeting place – the Shell Service Station at Laverton.  I will get back to you with a time.

Thanks, Les. It would have been nice to join in, but we're already tripled booked on that particular weekend. I hope a few Syncronistas show up.

Sorry Les but at this time should be cruising on a barge through Southern France,( If you weren't the gentleman that you are, you would say "Far canal".)
Have a slight problem in that my wife broke her leg 2 weeks ago so have had to cancel early part of planned trip but hopefully all will continue to go well with recovery and still allow us to leave later and take up the canal booking. If not, I shall be at the Geelong Waterfront in my Syncro in my beret. C'est la vie.

Hi Roger,

Sorry to hear about your wife's bad luck, and I hope the leg heals well. I have fond memories of cruising on the Canal du Midi in my teenage years - hard to forget approaching the medieval fortress town of Carcassone by barge along a plane-tree-lined canal. Ah, La Douce France...
