Green Cape

Hi Jon,

Great to meet you and the family at Bittangabee Bay, Green Cape a week ago.

Two silver Syncros camped for 2 nights side by side unannounced........how great is that??

Gerald.

Very special indeed, safe travels !

In my quest to solve my intermittent cut out problem, I came across this
(presumably accurate) description of how to tune and fault find the
Digifant system.

You may find it useful.

After determining that the problem is most likely the Hall effect sensor
I have decided to purchase a distributor from Just Kampers, Sydney. -
should be here in Adelaide tomorrow and because I am not confident and
haven't found any instructions, will try to get an auto electrician to
install the distributor before Christmas so I can use the Syncro as
planned over the holidays.

Regards

Peter

PS It is probably obvious that I am on leave and have time on my hands..
Hi Gerald,

Great to meet you both as well. What are the chances and being camped next to a T3 and T4 Syncro in an otherwise deserted campsite? A great spot as well. Highly recommend it.

In fact it was a good Syncro spotting trip as we also bumped into Leonie in the Syncro coffee station at Pebbly Beach campsite the previous day.

Hope you and the van survived the hot weather. We made in intact but suspect the starter motor on the van has failed as we are now push start only (a challenge on a 40 degree day!).

Cheers.

Jon, there is an old Chinese proverb:

"Much better to push a VW than drive a Holden"

I hope it turns good for you soon.
