greetings from "up above"

hi syncronauts,

just a little introduction as a new member of the group.
I'm Mike Plompen from Belgium, 37 years old, 4kids
For those who don't know Belgium : it's the tiny country around
europe's capital brussels. As we speak of australia as "down under"
how do you call us ? Up above ? ;-)
I'm driving a 1992 16" crewcab with nato box, the little orange
monster Les put a picture of on the "photos" section of the website.
WBX engine on petrol and LPG, 2 diff locks and some nice options but
i don't want to boar you guys with the details. (unless someone wants
them off course :-)
I'm a passionated syncro-freak only since last year. Very glad of
course when i saw this site getting activated. That means even less
television every evening since i'm also following the dutch/belgian
an south african discussion groups. :-)

Congratulations with the site !

Mike Plompen

Hi Mike,

You are lucky to have visited my home country, I am going again next week to celebrate my mums 100th birthday on 20.09.04 in Copenhagen, she is a true Viking, they never die, they just fade away...

Vikings are traders and explorers. True that the earlier Vikings traveled mainly on the Northern Hemisphere. Konstantinopel, Russia, Normandy, Braittany, Iceland, Greenland and Newfoundland were there trade routes.

These days they can be found all over the world, but you will always recognise them as they all have a Danish flag on the rear of their cars... and often a Carlsberg Beer in their hand...

Cheers
Sten Jessen
