Hit a wall...

Hi gang.
I have recieved all(?) parts needed to fit my new/old front, rear,
locking diffs.
I say all with ?mark because i have a wiring loom with female
connection plug housing amongst the hollow piping to activators, Is it
something needed; haven't had much luck searching the bentley manual
for an answer, so direction needed. I still have some minor connectors
to obtain but at present the wiring has me stuffed and a little
worried, that i will need more parts.

Should i post a pic so as everyone has some idea as to what i am
jabbering about???

Andrew
Andrew,

Pictures will help and could save misunderstandings.

Fuse box plug

OffendingLoom

Are you sure that you do not have this already fitted.

RearPanelBranch

Mount the vacuum tank first under the car. Holes are there already. Then you will see where the non return valve and tee into brake vacuum hose goes.

What2

I don't know what that is???? (I want one)

Phill

(PS Where are you?)

Hi Phil.
More pics loaded so have another sticky, i am not sure if they are
already there as the vehicle i have is non diff lock let alone double
diff lock. Shit i saw that the gearbox was cactus and left it at that
and starting sourcing parts.. I have a feeling i may need some help
with this operation when i have assembled all parts...

As for What2, i am hoping someone knows what it is as it is quite
heavy for a little unit maybe inch, inch&half diameter.

Andrew

Hi Phil.
More pics loaded so have another sticky, i am not sure if they are
already there as the vehicle i have is non diff lock let alone double
diff lock.

Have a look above the gearbox. Mine has a loom tied up there and I do not have any diff locks.

Phill
I have been told (but not yet confirmed) that all production Syncros had this loom as part of a standardized vehicle loom.  In motor vehicle production, it is frequently more expensive to take something out than to leave it in, even if unused.

I am hoping this is the case and it is a standard production loom. Any
ideas on what2 and what is this, is?
As said before what2 is unfamiliar but i have seen it somewhere i will
check other source.
Ok vagcat has no reference for what2.
Also whatisthis, has me a little confused. Ideas/thoughts?

Can u/anyone see anything i may be missing to complete ongoing job.

Thanks
Andrew
I only need oil for front&back, as well as three water
hoses(oilcooler&cylinder2plastictubing). then it is moving...

Cheers. oh, Phil; location is Northern NSW Maclean 2463.
