Hot Chips

Has anyone studied the performance chip angle for the WBX 2.1 ?

I believe Vintage Vee Dub in NSW has said item ?

Love to get just 5% more torque somehow.

Mark

Mark,

I have not heard of a performance chip for WBX before! Is it an ECU replacement of does it piggy back the existing system?

You have sparked my interest with this one.

Cheers,

Mike , those things are on the market for a long time but  I have never tried one. Normally they are piggy back I think. The one to question about those gadgets would be Steve Mueller . there is no reason why they should not work. Downside poss, higher fuel flow and maybe shorter engine live.

You are right - Steve Mueller would be the person to ask, and indeed he was - quick search revealed a discussion on this very topic back here at the kombi forum:

Headers/Extractors are also mentioned as one of the best methods to improve performance for more modest outlay.

Seasons Greetings to all

It's a replacement.

I can't see much difference without changing camshaft etc.

I's just like puting a recurved distributor in.
