This looks like a European system and is unlikely to have been used in Australia. My Syncro was supplied by ATECO, the distributor at the time, and it carries a sticker on which is listed the options, the paint code, gearbox and similar.
Phill Lander is our local authority on options and he keeps extensive documentation. He will be able to tell us a lot more about this. Phill and Jo are currently in Germany for the big Syncro celebration; I am not sure if he is following email but he is sure to respond when he gets back.
