Mileage Increaser

It seems like a reasonable idea if it actually works.
 
Has anyone used one of these before in a 2.5 tonne oversized brick before in high winds at freeway speeds?
 
I'm interested if it actually noticeably works.

I thought you were desperate for this Ken.
 
My 6 banger Scooby gets me up hills no worries - even overloaded with all my boss's crap. The fuel economy with all those 6 pots banging away is the problem.
 
Its no worse than the original donk - just with $1.40/L prices during holidays it gets a bit expensive.
 
I have seen various forms of these but never knew anyone that had ever successfully used one.
 
If that miracle occurs - someone let me know.

Yeah I remember a couple years ago there was the same kind of thing available specifically for dirtbikes (or so it was marketed) . A lot of people claimed they increased your mileage. It didn't work in the sense of the device itself increasing fuel economy but it did work on another level! Most people never kept an accurate count of their economy or at least not to be able to distinguish between the 10% minimum gain this device offered. To add to this the device was said to function best at steady rpms as power spikes confused the wave inputShifty It was a no brainer that the only reason mileage increased was because the rider was less abusive with the throttle. In the US, we call such devices 'snake oil'. It's probably filed in the patent office in the same drawer as 'perpetual motion' machines. 

I know it wasn't PT Barnum who actually said this but usually attributed to him. "There's a sucker born every minute." Here's hoping PT doesn't find any customers in this group for the device in question.;-)
