Muffler hole

Hi I have a couple of small rust holes in the muffler and tail pipe of my Syncro and don't have the time to replace it before my trip away at Christmas.  You can only hear it when idling.  Is this likely to do any damage to the engine or valves for the next 2000Ks before replacing?  Regards  GregN

Sorry Greg but it may be OK, but it could stop you.
Earlier this year my SYNCRO muffler collapsed internally,
seriously restricting gas flow.
Could not go faster than 60 Ks in top gear.
Car was almost undrivable.
Might happen, might not, so just sharing what happened to me,
and it gave me no warning.
Peter S.

Thanks Peter, I will keep your experience in mind.
The Question I still have is there any damage done to the engine driving around with holes in the muffler??
Thanks Greg
No Greg.
You should be able to run with a completely open exhaust and your only problems will be: your comfort, the boys in blue and those around you.
