Old Man Emu Shocks

Has anyone been able to work out why we are paying nearly 200 bucks a set more for these shocks than our US freinds? Are they not made in OZ or at least made under license in some Asian factory? I think I can get a set from the US for cheaper than the aprox $800 quotes i've been getting from the local ARB stores.Does anyone have any inside info on why this is the case? Thanks, Eddie Bergodaz.
Eddie,
Simple. US outlets buy in bulk to service a huge 48 States demand so they get them a lot cheaper. Also they have to be competitive with alternate brands available there, not here. Comparatively as we are individual one off purchasers here, we have no bargaining leverage and OME know they have little oposition here other than VAG OEMs.

Find it at CarPoint.com.au New, Used, Demo, Dealer or Private?
Because they can. The US buy lots and choose to pass on the savings. Not enough market for them here and no competition.

When i went down this route I got quotes from the US and the cost of postage made them cost more
