Porsche 944 CV Joints source

Hi All, wondering if anyone can recommend where in Australia would be a good source for the 944 CV joints?  Price / quality etc.  At some point my van will be slightly lifted with new suspension so I'm chasing 944 joints.  From what I have read online it also appears there are good / poor quality 944 joints, and maybe even you have to get the ones with the right amount of splines?  Any assistance or direction much appreciated.

Thanks, Sam

Might be had to source in Australia.

Hi Sam,

I've run a 2" lift for a long time on standard cv's with no noticeable issues. You may need to replace old ones when you lift it but the extra expense of Porche cv's may not really be necessary. Unless you're doing a lot of extreme off road.

Thanks for those comments.  I'm thinking of perhaps getting the GoWesty fox shocks paired with schwenk springs.  They say the stock CVs will click when the rear has full drop due to the longer shock (though not to worry no damage from this).  I'm wondering if the 944 wouldn't click in this situation.  Though yes rare that I would take the van into extreme offroad situations to experience this so may not be worth the extra expense.

Sam,
I put the GoWesty Fox adjustable kit F&R on my standard springs last year. Ride and handling are great but won't be able to really test offroad performance until a group of us go up to the Cape next year. We are taking the MV Trinity up from Cairns then driving down. Don't know about the OTR though. I'm up for it but probably not the others with camper trailers etc.

Hmmm ok I don't really want to keep driving with the clicking and stress on other components, any recommendations for standard CV joint sources at a good price in Sydney?  Thanks!

If it is any help,
the Bergmeister,
our 1982 T3 window van,
running a 1989 3.6 Porsche engine,
has standard VW CVs.
The only precaution:
We check the bolts regularly.

Peter

I've just found these which I might give a shot, we're even listed on the application list -
1x New Genuine * GSP * Outer CV Joint for PORSCHE 944 2.5L M/T & A/T

Though I'm probably taking a gamble on quality and standard CV joints might be a wiser move.  Anyone ever heard of GSP? Thanks everyone for comments
Gap are Chinese rubbish. You will be lucky to get a month out of them. Gkn Lobro are the brand to be searching for. The best solution is 930 cv for raised syncros.
