Hi Sam, I put Go Westy big brakes on both my AUS Syncros, never had engineers certificate, never had any problems, one had BMW BOOSTER with standard brakes. .works fine.

You might have gathered some of the engineering approval fun I'm having. I'm really hopeful there is someone here who has had bigger front brakes (any type!) put on their van, and got an engineers approval. OR anyone with a south african van registered here. Please contact me if so, your approval, and any testing if you got that done also, would help me avoid having to pay an additional $1500+ just for special brake testing.

Hi Paul. What wheels did you you put the GoWesty Big Brakes to?
Did you notice much difference in stopping power?
Did you notice the new brakes not heating up so much when on a long descent?

Both vehicles had 15 "wheels ,vehicle with BMW Booster stopped really good when it had standard brakes. Heat was never an issue with big brakes on long descent .I think you need booster and big brakes in todays traffic if you want to stop.

Can't help you Hart, mechanic is deceased. I drove his doka with BMW booster. .it stopped with much less effort. Not sure if his wife still has doka. .might be able to find out.

You need a booster from an E30 which covers several different cars. Have a look here https://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=104200&page=4 there is a picture with the numbers about half way down. There may be several different numbers that are available.
