Re: [Syncro_T3_Australia] Old Bar - You're Invited - Details

Hi Hart & All

Good news ref the correct map - the link and Hart's description below.

Currently we have Mark, Murray, Hart, Brian and hopefully Neil attending.

For those yet undecided, here are the details:

Saturday AM - Old Bar Beach Festival Markets - starts in the morning as do most country markets
Saturday PM - Scenic Drive via Taree to Elands/Comboyne/Wingham - Google Map Route here - http://bit.ly/lCiS8
Sunday AM/PM - Kombi World Record Attempt - Register here $10 - www.oldbarbeachfestival.com.au (thanks for reminder Brian)

Staying? At Lanis Old Bar - http://www.lanis. com.au/OLD% 20BAR%20SITE/ frameset% 20LOTB.htm

Hart's description of the drive:

There are fantastic , scenic roads not far from Taree, what do you think we could allow time wise? We could go Taree/Wingham/Elands[highest water-free-fall in the s hemisphere]/Comboyne/fantastic scenic road down to Wingham.....there’s a very nice cafe’ at Elands [yes, there’s m.reception]

if time permits we should include the ELLENBOROUGH FALLS quite remarkable indeed. But we go with the flow, we can cut out the appendices towards Comboyne, not much to see there except for the UDDER COW CAFE.

Let me stress that we are not offroading , but going on poor to very poor country roads, in parts very scenic.

That's great news (not about Site 11, but that you're coming).

Maybe Les would like to join you for a Road Trip? (Les, nudge nudge)

Hi Mark,

Just booked. You’re apparently on site 11. They said there were no powered sites left close to you, but an unpowered area ‘just over the road’ nearby, so that’s what I’ve booked. I’m expecting to leave Melbourne Thursday evening, stay overnight somewhere like Jugiong, near Yass, and arrive at Old Bar Friday afternoon/evening.

Hi Brian

We are there Friday & Saturday & Sunday night. I'm not sure what site numbers we have or Murray has. Not sure if Murray is Fri night as well, or just Saturday / Sunday night.

Maybe book in at least, and then maybe once we have a number of people confirmed they may be able to co-locate us.

Hart - are you going to stay overnight with us as well?

Mark.

I hope there aren’t too many berms for a T5.
