Reposted from Dave Finnie, NZ

Hello Les

How are things with you across the ditch?
I guess you will be watching the present world-wide developments of GM with some concern?

I am trying to find a set of wind deflectors for my t3, as per the attached photo.
Can you give me details of any Australian manufacturer/supplier who may have these available plse? - I haven't been able to find any on the net

tks

Gday Dave,

The photo is so small, I find it hard to discern what it is you are calling *wind deflectors*.

Can you describe them more fully please, perhaps they are also known by another name.

Cheers.

Ken

Ken,

I reposted that in a bit of a hurry but I think that he is referring to the upper visor and the lower stone guard.  I will email him direct and clarify.

My money's on Phil's interprepretation, which if I am correct should make the following current UK ebay ad useful:

If you are reading this Dave good to hear you are well and nurturing your flock of crossbred transporters.Anyone who has a T3 letterbox on their house has to have real style.(see attachment).

To anyone else who already has such wind deflecters, do you find they actually deliver the promised benefits - reduced wind buffeting; noise; fuel consumption?? rain inflow etc when the windows are open?

Cheers

Hello Roger and others.

Yip still looking after the flock.
We are planning a two week round the South Island VW tour to celebrate 60 yrs on the transporter in April next year - will we have any ozzie starters?

Sorry for the confusion - I am looking for the plastic accessory that fits around along the top and down the front of the front door windows.
The only ones I have found so far fit to the top of the door only.
Am off to Germany in June and hope to find some t3 parts - anybody help me with some good sources to call on plse?

tks from nz

Get in touch with the T3 clubs over there. The Germans are very friendly and helpful.

Gday Dave,

Well I'm glad you cleared the confusion up. Yes I have what you describe
on the drivers side only, wouldn't be without it, particularly when it
is raining and my air conditioner still isn't fixed so I tend to have
the window open. Worst comes to the worst, the top only weathershield
would give you adequate air if you lower the window a bit and also
probably stop the annoying rainwater percolating down off the upper
frame of the door from being driven inside under wind pressure.

But no, can't recall ever seeing a new full weathershield available
anywhere. But may be possible in EEC.

Cheers.

Ken

Hello Roger and others.

Yip still looking after the flock.
We are planning a two week round the South Island VW tour to celebrate 60 yrs on the transporter in April next year - will we have any ozzie starters?

Sorry for the confusion - I am looking for the plastic accessory that fits around along the top and down the front of the front door windows.
The only ones I have found so far fit to the top of the door only.
Am off to Germany in June and hope to find some t3 parts - anybody help me with some good sources to call on plse?

tks from nz
dave
