Hi all,
Here’s some prelaunch pictures of the Rockton Terock, the expedition camper based on the T5. For those countries who never got the T5 : first there was the T1 (split), then the T2 (baywindow), followed by our beloved T3 (vanagon/microbus/t25). In 1990 vw launched the T4 (Eurovan) followed by the T5. Last year the T5 was updated with a new grille and headlights. On request of the international Syncro community vw build a hardcore version of the T5 4motion (4motion is 4x4) with a shorter gearbox, protection plates and bigger wheels/springs in 2010 called the T5 Rockton. Begin this year they asked Terracamper, an offroad expedition specialist, to build a camper out of the Rockton : the Rockton Terock.
Here you can find the first (pre launch) pictures of the Rockton Terock : http://www.busman.be/pagina40aa.html (scroll down), taken at the Abentuer Allrad meeting last week.
Last weekend, like every year, a couple of german bus-speed freaks rented the formula 1 racetrack to play. With a couple of 100 busses it’s maybe not the biggest gathering, but there’s lots of very interesting cars to be seen there. Like Claers, Porsche B32 bus, Oettinger, VR6 and an Audi w12 6000 cc. Here’s a link to a video I made from the vw bus tuning treffen 2011 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQODq3I37tA
Enjoy !
