spare tire carriers - picture request

Dear community,

I'm trying to compile the various efforts in the field of "spare tire
carriers" from around the world in a picture collection. I'd like to
ask you to look into your various image folders and try to locate
solutions you have found yourself or photographed on other's busses.
Any picture of a T3 spare wheel carrier in full and/or details is
highly appreciated via eMail. High-Res preferred. Copyright statements
on the pictures are perfectly ok!

Thanks in advance,

Martin

P.S.: The current status can be seen here: http://www.easy2design.de/bulli/racks/
P.P.S.: If you happen to find your own picture and don't want it to be
displayed or want your copyright on it, please contact me aswell!

Dear Martin,
Can you access our Australian group photos? If so on the 2nd page there are a considerable set of photos and drawings in the folder " T3 Rear Wheel Carriers". My own vehicle is one illustrated with genuine VW hinges but with the carrier locally extended to take 2 spares (16") This is courtesy of the original owner who also provided a molded spare wheel carrier in the roof rack that is part of the pop up roof and provision for a further spare on the front bull bar. I presume you are confining yourself to rear carriers. I have been content to "only" carry 2 spares on long journeys as I reckon if I had to provide against  4 punctures before I got back to civilisation then the gods were clearly telling me not to be on that track.I also already have enough trouble with a 6 wheel tyre rotation.
Cheers

Apologies if this has already been brought to the group's attention but  I notice that 5 photos have been posted on our site of the 2008 Labour Day gathering. There is a very interesting and rare Trakka fixed high roof syncro showing that rear AND FRONT diff locks apparently do make a difference in deep mud. I presume it got through without help.  Be interested in further comments from those who attended.

did get stuck at another deeply rutted muddy section, all 4 wheels
spinning, after towing it out backwards, it was evident that it was
stuck on the centre protection bars. After another attempt was made it
was decided to drive around. The sort of 4WD's that use these tracks
are modified jeeps, landcruisers, ect with 33"+ tyres, so some ruts the
Syncro has no hope of coping with.

In attendance were, Theo & Christine in their ex Telstra Syncro, Werner
in his immaculate Syncro, Matti in his Trakka Syncro, Andrew in his
high top Trakka Syncro and of course my own Syncro. Andrew's Syncro is
quite special, it was Trakka's motorshow van, so is loaded with all
the goodies available at the time, front and rear diff locks, leather
Stratos seats on swivel bases, leather rear seat, electric windows and
mirrors, awning ect ect.

3 Syncro's set off for a drive in the nearby hills, Matti, Andrew and
Theo's. Ten minute's drive away and we were on the tracks starting from
Britannia creek Rd. in Wesburn. We followed the Britannia fire break
track which climbs steeply to around 700m. then follows the ridge
through tall mountain ash forest with lush green under growth of ferns
and shrubs, before dropping back down to Blacksands road an then onto
the Yarra junction -Noojee rd.
Back at my place we had lunch, then sat around under the shady trees
talking syncro's and 4wd adventures untill about 6pm when we called it
a day.

regards

Steve.
