Tom,
Can you simply repair it with super glue?
Try your local dealer and report back here your success/failure and pricing please. Could be novel.
Otherwise, high beams comprise a left and right hand pair.
Double check for the part number on the back of the cracked one. Just go by the part number, not where its placed, given USA is LHD.
So part no. 533 941 061 - http://www.van-cafe.com/home/van_1223689737929/page_408_1053/left_hi-beam_housing.html
Or part no. 533 941 062 - http://www.van-cafe.com/home/van_1223689737929/page_266_1053/right_hi-beam_housing.html

The high beam lights are from a Scirroco, hence the 533 part number.

and the plastic adjuster thingey's like to break of course..
sometimes those are available.
generally ...going to round headlights or a South African headlight and grill set up is the way to go.
there are terrific large round headlights from Bus Depot that work just great, and not expensive at all.
Decent T3 round headlight grills are a bit hard to find though, if wanting to just upgrade to single large round headlights ..which work better than the rectangular headlight system.

To be legal, they have to be ADR 46 compliant so you would need to establish that whatever is on offer is for RH drive vehicles.

Tom,
You could spend ages and running up your phone bill searching locally for a high beam, probably hard to find, even at a wrecker.
Or as advertised, have it shipped from Van Cafe to your front door in 7-10 days ... say around $100 incl. shipping, maybe less.
Any that look fogged up, just poke a stick with a rag on it inside and work it around. They clean up good.
Cheers.

The situation is as follows:
Have (had) 2 SYNCROs
Pop Top has just been sold roadworthy-- all good.
The other('permanent high top' done by Trakka 20 years ago) needs roadworthy in the near future: eg. broken light- rusty door step - and many other things
Rang Burwin Motors in Melbourne for new lens - not available
Spare parts gave me the Ph. No for Volkswerke in Melb - they quoted $100 for second hand.:-(
Have not ordered from anyone yet.
I look forward to getting the high top going again

Is your high top the gold luxury one featured in "Camper and Bus" a few months back? I like the Trakka high top it followed the design similar to the Dehler, a German yacht maker. I imagine they are becoming rather rare and Trakka through all the luxury trim at them. I have a friend who has a T3 for spare parts. Exactly which light is it you are after and how much do you want to pay. I see him Thursday and am picking up a part for myself. I drive a 1990 Trakka pop top Syncro. Ein tolles Auto. Thats german for a great car.

I`ll see if there is a left high beam in good condition and let you know this weekend. Like most windows in Germany they are double glazed for better insulation and well made, like your high roof no doubt. Best of luck, or viel Spass with the project.
