Suspension and glass

2 questions.

Suspension. What is the cheap safe way to lift the Syncro van ???
I've heard 2wd springs in the front and custom spacers in the rear.

Glass. Mines an ex Telstra van. I wish to put glass in the LH rear and the drivers front.

So cutting the panel is easy. But what glass and where from??

Steve
Putting glass in is hard mate. Turned out to be a bigger job than I expected. I used stock Vw windows and A special rubber.

Lifting - not super easy either -change springs and best to fit shocks OME is a budget but reliable option.

I think if you do the lifting cheaply you will regret it. Doing it right as described above will make you fall in love with your van.

Steve,

I have a aftermarket LH rear window installed - cost me $120 (Pilkigton glass) 17 years ago - it's OK.

But keep in mind that it is only a single skin installation not like on a bus where the inner and outer metal skin is encapsulated with the window rubber. Have a look at the sliding door window to see what I mean.

For lifting the van I got springs made for the front and spacer in the back but not too high.

I'm happy with the set up.

Cheers,

Theo
