Syncro Fun Over The Long Weekend Anyone?

Anyone?

We went out to Mt. Finke in the Yumburra Wilderness area, about 170
kms. due north of Ceduna. Beautiful country - deep red sand,
untouched scrub and best of all....something like nearly 100 sand
dunes to drive over!
They were not particularly challenging as it turned out but great fun
none the less. One Landcruiser got bogged in front of us as a result
of hitting one dune too fast and with saggy springs and (IMO) too
high a trye pressure, got stuck at the top. The Syncro, with tyre
pressure at 18psi, climbed it beautifully and safely in 1st gear.

Actually the most challenging part of the weekend was climbing
the "mountain" (369m) with a 1 year 51 week old in my arms, along
with our 5 month old in a sling on my wifes back, our nearly 6 year
old twins by our side and a mate with his 3 1/2 year old walking by
him!

It is a lovely spot and there are quite a few good camping spots out
there, all accessible by 4x4 only. And it's central to much of the
rest of the country. Good spot for a nationwide Syncro get
together?????

Cheers,

Andy.
Rick,
ignorance excused!
Ceduna is in South Aus, at the north west end of Eyre Peninsula and
about 800kms by road from Adelaide. It would appear on most maps of
Australia I would think.

Andy.
Thanks,
Sounds like a fun place for Syncros.
I will keep it in mind, may be a great potential group Syncro get
together in the future.
Cheers
Rick.
