That is a good article but now well out of date.  For anyone interested in converting, particularly to Subaru power, there is a very good website:

It has masses of up to the minute data on Subaru conversions.

 

We have three members that I know of who have recently converted to the 2.5 litre Subaru and there are a couple of earlier 2.2 conversions as well.

Les and Pete,

I know of 3 of us with the SOHC 2.5 Subaru, and one with the DOHC
version. I would imagine there are others too......
