Valla 2016

Hi everyone, remember me? Long time no post!


Been OS a couple of times and a couple of trips in the Syncro, one to Alice Springs via Chamber's Pillar (named for Anne's Great Great Grandfather by McDouall Stuart), then to East Macs, Plenty Highway through Qld then south home.


My wife Anne & I will be at Valla this year for the first time. Will book via the website. Got a broad outline of possible program from Donna Pell yesterday. Not sure how many days to stay out of the 9 allocated, where to go etc. Looking at Valla Beach on Google maps I can see a large lot off Kuta Avenue. Is that where we go?

Seems you can choose the whole nine yards (days) or part there of.

Anyone's suggestions/personal experiences would be much appreciated.

Hi Bruce,
Valla is one event which I wouldn't like to miss, not too big, only about 550 entries or there  about ,,( Bus Fest in England had entries in their thousands but Kombis only !) by contrast Berlin had +- 500 Syncro entries, many of them 16".

I suppose that we have to wait a bit longer for Donna to work out the schedule for the week, it's a big job . 

Facility in the park are tops with parking under shady trees ( not so good for your solar gen.)

I had my wires crossed re dates and am back from Tasmania. So will be heading up in my Syncro (with nice refurbished Rudi gearbox) to Valla in convoy with Hart on Friday. Hope to see some fellow Syncronauts there. Peter from Port.

Thanks Rowan. Hart and I will be there around 2.00. Won’t go anywhere, just want to set up and check out the vehicles and chat. Peter from Port

Rowan is in there somewhere and Hart and peter are on their way up from Port tomorrow.

I will be leaving from the Central Coast tomorrow morning.

Hi 

My phone died but is now back to life : )
I will be around in the in the morning to see if anyone wants to do a trip..

Killer kranke and or Sealys. Could do Sealys in the AM and Killer in the PM..
Sealys is doable in non diff locked T3 Syncro and Killer is doeable in standard beetle.

I am in the Silver Syncro near the toilet block pop in for a chat.. Looking to leave about 10 Am..

Thanks Theo. Was great seeing so many from the Syncro community there. What a great effort by Sebastian to travel from Alice Springs in his amazing van and also Bruce from Adelaide. Cheers, Peter
