VC coupling wanted

Hey Guys & Girls,
Off to pick up my new Tracker from Everard later this week then drive from Melbourne to just north of Brisbane.

Will have an ex Telstra Syncro to sell if anyone is interested and it is in great condition but the viscos coupling should be replaced.
It still drives the front but wont spin the front wheels.

Thinking of replacing the vc before i sell it so ................... has anyone got one left over from the decoupler group purchase who used a solid shaft?

Congrats for your Trakka , from what I read in the ad , it must be an amazing vehicle. I really would like to look at it and have a chat with you. We are 2mins off the Pac Hwy from Port Macquarie’s northern exit (Hastings River Drive). Will prob be in your area on Monday so will give you a call and drop in if it suits you and time permits.
Ken is on my list of stop overs just North of Sydney.

The Syncro is a good one and the stories that Everard has passed on regarding its initial purchase and history are great.

I have only seen pictures of the car myself so im glad this site exists as it did fill in some info that made me buy this one.

I work in the Middle East so was advised by Ken about the vehicle.Was out the back of Jordan in the middle of nowhere when i sealed the deal these computers certainly make the world a smaller place.

Bought the car by email as i could not resist Kens repeated urging to stop looking and get this one.

Ken you missed your calling to be the worlds best used VW car salesman.

Thanks to Everard for being the Gentleman he is and helping me come to an agreement that was agreeable for both of us using only email.

Hi Pete’

Sounds really great!  When coming up, don’t exit at Port Macquarie but continue North for another 4 km  then exit into Hastings River Drive go for 300 m and turn left into OAKES CRES. go to the end and into our gate   ( 107 ) . When pressed for time ring me 10mins out and the coffee and cake will be ready on the table. 3 hrs from Ken and you should have a rest anyway.

Hartmut,
Pete doesn't know it yet but my spotters fee commission he owes me now for finding this magnificent syncro of Everards is ... he can't leave my place till he completes my R&R of the WP and OC. Either that or we swap vehicles!
 
He may arrive late to your place ... sorry about that!

Pete, Skot, Hart & Ken

I saw the vehicle when Roger and I visited Everard a couple of weeks back in Melbourne - it is an outstanding vehicle and you have done very well thanks to Ken and Everard! I have a few pictures on my phone if anyone is interested for me to post them.

Mark, of course we want pixes. When Everardt first advertised it I seriously considered getting it and selling mine ! am I one lucky man that I didn’t, just try to imagine what a certain  (very valued) member from the Northern Beaches would have done to me.!! Mark, All,   had a good look at these excellent pictures and like to list a few observations that I made.

 

I do like almost all with the exception of the UHF radio cut-out, what a pity that another place could not be found, maybe overhead?

The steering wheel makes me green with envy, it’s a must have.

The aircon unit is as bad as mine which sports horizontal outlets.

The warning label next to the diff lock panel is located on the right hand side ! who put it there ? Factory?

Door panel Kamei storage containers are possibly after market as in the eighties car makers avoided after marked equipment at all cost to be factory installed

I like the super clean ceiling in lounge/bedroom with that supa dupa dome light real showstopper, and real cosy. And those s/s handle surrounds where you lift the roof are real cool.

Also the ventilation fan is great to stay cool. The prison bars on the rear window ....just tooo cool

I like the real 12 Volt GPOs (General Purpose Outlet) much better than our cigar lighter plugs (rubbish)

Rear vision camera, great for us oldies, saves our necks!

Aha, next pic we can detect the left/right switch for some electric mirrors.

Speed control, the real thing, the one to die for . I have a germ. After marked kit have not installed  it because it is very much ‘after marked’

VIN plate seats *8* good luck, maybe backpackers ( I know it came in as a Caravelle)

What is Recall Code  20 F 3 ?

Vanagon ? nice touch.

 

Definitely  THE buy for 2010.

Ken is on my list of stop overs just North of Sydney.

The Syncro is a good one and the stories that Everard has passed on regarding its initial purchase and history are great.

I have only seen pictures of the car myself so im glad this site exists as it did fill in some info that made me buy this one.

I work in the Middle East so was advised by Ken about the vehicle.Was out the back of Jordan in the middle of nowhere when i sealed the deal these computers certainly make the world a smaller place.

Bought the car by email as i could not resist Kens repeated urging to stop looking and get this one.

In my previous mail I made  the statement “Best buy in 2010” on the fact that I never saw any pictures of the Trakka Caravelle down there at Fremantle. Did we get any??
