What is this valve?

Hi All

I just cant remember what this valve does (hope you can see the picture).

It is in the fuel line directly after the pump and was part of the original VW engine. I cant find it in the manual.

I need to connect the fuel line to the new Suby engine and was wondering do I need it?

Thanks in advance

PK

That is not the fuel line. That is a one way valve in the vacuum line to the brake booster.

that's a vacuum line and check valve ..for brake booster vacuum.

you don't want to connect that to fuel.

In any case ..it sure LOOKS like a vacuum line and check valve for brake booster.

I suppose someone could have connected that to the fuel pump.
