Are you looking to buy a 2.1 motor.I have one that i bought last year to do up however since i sold my Syncro i will not be doing it up.If interested let me know as you can have it for $400.00.

I am located in Melbourne (Croydon).The motor is complete bar the distributor.It can be turned over by hand
My intention was to fully rebuild it therefore i bought 2 New Heads for it which i still have.Obviously they are not included but can be bought seperately.The Motor is till sitting on the pallet it came on when i got it in 2010 february.It has been kept covered so no dampness gets in.As mentioned earlier i sold my Syncro in November last year therefore i have no need for the motor anymore which is why i am offering it for sale.Cheers,Everard

be careful about turning a waterboxer engine over without a distributor installed in it.
 
it's 'probably ok' ..
but if that distributor drive shaft slides  up and allows two washers on the bottom of it to tilt or get out of place..
they can jam on the drive gear on the crankshaft..
-   a real mess if that ever happens.
At least rig something.........like a heavy wire bent to fit ..
to stick down into the dist hole and hold the dist shaft down in place.. ( and held in place under the distributor mounting nut ) ..
then it's safe to turn the engine over by hand now and then, which is very important to do on a stored engine.

Hi All,

I got that motor from Everade running, with the dizzy from my other syncro.
It's a bit noisy, but nothing a good run wouldn't sort out.
Does anyone have a spare dizzy they could part with so I can get her on the road?
