Hi Hartmut

What engine is your 1,9 tdi (code no ) . Is it mecanical or fly by wire fuel system, a 1,9 tdi has always been on may wish list but my pocket keep on saying no, i have all the stuff from an old 1,6 to make it fit in the T3.

Hi all - Had taller Albins installed for some months ‘cause wanted to install the 1.9 TDI I have . The wbx didn’t handle them, max speed I got was close to 100 km/h not more. Rudi P. Re-installed the originals when he did my box again, after my first choice of workshop wrecked it (for a lot of money). Although I have 16” installed I could always easily follow Mark on our way to DOVW.

I have given the Diesel a miss after taking me 14 yrs to built my little biplane and I don’t want to spend another 2 yrs in my w/shop smelling of diesel...... ..hartmut

Eric, I just picked up my custom 3rd & 4th gears from albins last week the cost was about $350 per gear.I actually went with shorter gears becuase I have bigger tyres, so be careful with taller ratios with the stock engine.I dont think the wbx can really handle them.Cheers ,Eddie Bergodaz.

OK Alf , can only do on Monday, tomorrow I fly down to Williston to do some gliding, maybe I manage tomorrow afternoon if back in time. Engine has done 127 000. I bought a front half of a 96 Golf so all the fittings, engine mounts etc are there , also aircon but no radiators. Where do you live Alf? hartmut

Hi Alf, it,s quite an act to get to that engine ID but I finally found it . It is an AAZ 618 engine.

Hartmut, if your engine is for sale how much money are you asking, i think it is too small for the syncro, but i have a friend that deals with some one that uses them in farm machinery, and they are looking for a new engine.

What engine is your 1,9 tdi (code no ) . Is it mecanical or fly by wire fuel system, a 1,9 tdi has always been on may wish list but my pocket keep on saying no, i have all the stuff from an old 1,6 to make it fit in the T3.

Hi all - Had taller Albins installed for some months ‘cause wanted to install the 1.9 TDI I have . The wbx didn’t handle them, max speed I got was close to 100 km/h not more. Rudi P. Re-installed the originals when he did my box again, after my first choice of workshop wrecked it (for a lot of money). Although I have 16” installed I could always easily follow Mark on our way to DOVW.

I have given the Diesel a miss after taking me 14 yrs to built my little biplane and I don’t want to spend another 2 yrs in my w/shop smelling of diesel...... ..hartmut

Eric, I just picked up my custom 3rd & 4th gears from albins last week the cost was about $350 per gear.I actually went with shorter gears becuase I have bigger tyres, so be careful with taller ratios with the stock engine.I dont think the wbx can really handle them.Cheers ,Eddie Bergodaz.

OK Alf , can only do on Monday, tomorrow I fly down to Williston to do some gliding, maybe I manage tomorrow afternoon if back in time. Engine has done 127 000. I bought a front half of a 96 Golf so all the fittings, engine mounts etc are there , also aircon but no radiators. Where do you live Alf? hartmut
