Alloy water tank on ebay ( take 2)

Hi,

I have just listed an alloy water tank which is surplus to my
requirements, it was removed from a '89 Syncro with a Trakka conversion.
Seems very well made and in good cond. custom made to suit the T3.

thanks,

Steve

While we are on the Ebay subject, I have a few T3 parts listed as well.

Hi Ben,

sure, I can organize shipping if needed.

Steve.
Hi Steve

as it's assymetric I assume it is for one side only - the left I assume when looking rear to front?

Mark

Hi Mark,

it fits on the right hand side ( drivers side in Aus.), the squre-ish
plate is a mount for a electric pump and to protect the outlet , that
is on the bottom edge. hope that makes sense.

Steve
Thanks Steve - I am near Sydney (camden - a little like Yarra Junction - about an hour out of the city).

Has me thinking - as I already have a water tank on my conversion (not Trakka) and it is on passenger side as opposed to driver's side. A second tank could be used for a number of purposes (hot water, waste water, more capacity perhaps)

Any estimates to get it to NSW?

Brian - if you reading, I believe you had a hot water system using heat exchange? Was that documented anywhere?

Regards
Mark.

Hi Mark,

I'll look into shipping cost tomorrow and let you know how much.

Steve.
Mark,

This is the standard Trakka tank, same as on mine and several other member's Syncros.

Thanks Les,

I thought it was the standard Trakka tank, but wasn't sure.

Steve

Hi Mark,

Yes I did design a hot water system for my T3, and a wrote up a description of it. I thought I’d posted it here, and I know I posted it on the KombiClub forums, but now I can’t find it. I also think I sent it to Steve, who bought my van, so if he still has it maybe he can post it here.

Put simply though, you need a water tank which can withstand some pressure (when the water heats, it can potentially boil), and you just fit it with a single loop of standard ½ inch copper pipe, plumbed in to the heater circuit.
