Anyone know of any Syncro Caravelles in Aus??

Hi all newbie to the scene of Syncro's not to the T3 scene. I
currently own two T3's 1x85mod Caravelle CL and 1x89Mod Caravelle
GL(FamilyTaxi) also one 85 model Caravelle CL Sold to make way for the
89 mod.
Enough Dribble, I have recently bought a 92 T3Syncro with busted
gearbox(those questions come later) for the moment i am wondering if
any Caravelle Syncro's were bought into Australia? Especially the 7
seater Gl version?

Welcome to the group.

Hopefully the person that Les met at DOTVW (Vic.) a couple of weeks ago will be able to get this and other information

to us soon. I own one Caravelle GL Syncro, (1990) but it was imported by us in 2002 so would be in addition to any brought in by VW. I know of one other GL Syncro in SA, apparently he would be willing to part with it for a figure of $20k if anyone is keen.

 

On a slightly different topic, I have been living in Ceduna for 3 ½ years now and only a month ago learned that there is another T3 Syncro (a camper) here!

It spends most of its life garaged and although I haven’t yet talked to the owner, I will do so soon.

I thought the caravelle syncro was a rariety as most seem to be
campers or transporters. Damm it's been hiding time to go in for the
kill a fellow kombi owner is usually keen to swap tales and learn, go
say hello worse case scenario they tell u to go away, highly unlikely.

I have been told by the brother-inlaw to keep my eyes and ears open
for a syncro almost anything will do under 10grand would be nice less
is better rego or no rego rust can fix.
Since i bought my weapon home only two days now, he has fallen in love
and reckions he could move straight into my'n. I mean yes i need the
gearbox rebuilt and i have no difflocks but i only payed 1500 for him.
I have had many conversations with previous owner and he has spent
alot of money on my new toy. So cant be all bad. Hoping to get the
gearbox done after Chrissi.

Hey Mark
Location is Maclean Northern NSW Up Grafton/Byron way.
Caravelle syncro camper ey meaning it has the seats and been converted into camperand seats have been removed? Currently looking at converting the transporter into a caravelle of sorts need to cart the family on holidays Windowless (xcept slider) and has a dicky seat in center front bulk head. I tell u this thing looks the goods ah heck they all look awesome. Only thing i dont like about myn is nil diff locks anywhere. Oh and the fact i ned to get the gearbox rebuilt???
