Arriving in Melbourne

Hi Syncronauts,

Nearly six months after leaving Perth with a slow jaunt through
South Oz, we have finally pulled the syncro into Melbourne.
So far the trip has been amazing, not only the awesome sights of
Australia we have seen but some of the syncros we have seen and
there owners we have spoken to. People in the streets from little
country towns to the major cities are facinated by the syncro and we
find that we are constantly being approached with people asking "is
that a 4WD?" "Syncro isnt it?" "How many are there around?"
Not only from curious Aussies but loads of European backpackers who
have come to Oz and purchased some of our locally made station
wagons only to see a syncro cruising around???

We constantly try to locate the owners whenever we see them parked
on the road side to have a yarn... Whenever we do we always tell
them of the group list hoping some more will come on board. Spent
some great time with Andy and Ruth in Ceduna (thanks again for the
hospitality guys and congrats on the conversion success, say hi to
the cyclone for us...) and had a chance meeting with Nic in Port
Elliot. Its great to catch up with the listers also.

Speaking of catching up, it would be great to catch up with some of
the Vic syncro owners while we are here. Our mobile number and email
is on the site so feel free to get in touch and we will also.
Maybe the Day of the VW could be a good option??? Not sure what is
involved there?

We will be based in Keilor for probably a couple of months as we
plan on doing a bit of work on the bus while we are here. So it is
back to living in a house for a while (booohooo) and at some stage
the syncro will be off the road too.

Andy & Mel,

Just turn up on the day and look for the Syncros. With a bit of luck,
we will be parked together. Don't know how many will turn out because
the list has been very quiet of late. My mobile is 0427 112 392 if
you have any difficulties.
