Reborn camper goes green
VW Space UP!

Third version of innovative UP! concept draws inspiration from classic VW microbus.
The VW camper is back! After years of speculation, Volkswagen has pulled the covers off the modern day successor to the classic Samba bus – only this time, it’s more compact and produces zero emissions.Officially called the space up! Blue, it was unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show. The model is the third version of the German maker’s urban vision, and follows the original up! show car seen at the Frankfurt expo and the larger Space up! which made its debut in Tokyo earlier this year. The latest concept has looked to the past for inspiration – just as we said it would in Issue 983.

Rear engined they tell us. Wonder if the powerplant will be available for aftermarket fitment to a T3. Might need a long extension cable for serious off road use in Australia!
Camper??? I don't think they make people small enough to use this as a
"camper". Must be marketing hype.

Dear Ken/Larry,
Point taken but I live in hope that some day there will be THE definitive engine replacement for a T25 and thought this would interest those who hadn't seen it. With regard to size I grew up believing VWs were made in the Black Forest by Elves - surely bumper stickers wouldn't lie to me but then my other car is a bicycle; don't blame me I vote informal; give peace a chance; I like Ike and honk if you are a terrorist.
Cheers
Roger
PS OK what's rotflmfao?
PPS Have just dropped my Electrolux RM212  3 way fridge off for servicing. Will advise on outcome.
