Ben Croft's Syncro up for sale

Hi folks,

I cant put photos up any more due to Yahoo disabling that function, but as the title says Ben is selling his long term love - his syncro (trakka) multivan.

The details are as follows:

For those who know me they will tell you I have been saying this for years... but the time has come. They will also tell you that this is a very well loved and looked after vehicle.

For Sale.

Decoupler/rear diff lock.
Custom splined driveshaft.
Pioneer stereo.
Rock n roll bed.
Painted Bullbar.
RSA headlight grille/ relay on headlights.
Rego 6/2020.

I have owned this car for almost 12 years and in that time have just about changed or replaced every thing including,

Top end rebuild since conversion.

All front bushes and ball joints.
Front/rear CVs and boots.
Power steer rack and bushes.

The roof has gone off and has patina in places.

Currently it is in need of some minor cosmetic work to bring it back to its former glory.
I will spend a day on it over the weekend and will be ready for inspection next week.

Hi Ken,

Nothing wrong as far as I know.

His gearbox was re-done not long ago - 2 years max and the head gaskets on his engine also redone recently.

A very good set-up / combination with a 2.5 suby in the back.

He has gone to the dark side and bought a T6 to better fit the family in. I dont even think its a 4 motion....

Anyway, he needs to sell as he now has too many cars and hence the syncro must go.

So priced accordingly.

Cheers,

Skot

Yes I know Greg.
If you add up the cost of all the changes and refurbs as listed, comes to more than 25 big ones .... and that doesn't include the van itself.

You wouldn't buy one as an investment, that's for sure.

I've Owned mine for 23 years.

Cant imagine how much I've spent on that money eating monster!

Actually over that period - I would say much less than someone who bought a couple of new small vehicles over that same period..

Cheers,

Skot

For Sale.

1990 syncro.
EJ25 RJES/Smallcar conversion.
16 inch Audi rims/BF All terrains.
Audi front brakes/BMW booster.
Fox shocks/GoWesty springs.
Decoupler/rear diff lock.
Custom splined driveshaft.
Pioneer stereo.
Rock n roll bed.
Painted Bullbar.
RSA headlight grille/ relay on headlights.
Rego 6/2020.

I have owned this car for almost 12 years and in that time have just about changed or replaced every thing including,

Top end rebuild since conversion.
Radiator.
All front bushes and ball joints.
Front/rear CVs and boots.
Power steer rack and bushes.
Transaxle/front diff bushes.
Front/rear wheel bearings.
Wheel bearings/ rear linings and master cylinder.
Gear linkages/gear lever/socket.
Window/door rubbers.
Windscreen.

Transaxle repairs over the years that include,

Replaced 3 and 4th gear.
Lower ratio 4th gear.
Pinion bearing.
Crown wheel and pinion gears.
Cluster shaft.

I am the 3rd owner of this Bus and for most of my time it has been well looked after. I have lost interest in it and I am embarrassed to say that I have not looked after it as well as I have in the past, over the last 12 months. It has a very good body which has had some repairs. The roof has gone off and has patina in places.

Currently it is in need of some minor cosmetic work to bring it back to its former glory.
I will spend a day on it over the weekend and will be ready for inspection next week.

For any further details call Ben on 0433 329 120.

$25,000.00
Sydney.

Nah!
Standing in my van right now with the top down and need to bend my neck 90°. No thank you.
Love my TRAKKA poptop.

Agree Ken,

Mine was a pain in the ass when it was a tin top - the Camperize pop-top was one of the best things I ever did.

Not just standing up but ventilation in summer as well.
