Hi All

Just a quick question, is the Bentley Manual available from Amazon in USA suitable for Australian use ? If not where do you get one ?

Byron,

Yes, it is.  It covers RH drive.  You will occasionally encounter some confusion about what was fitted to the Australian delivered Syncros but we have a good knowledge of this and it usually needs only one question to the group to resolve.  Phill Lander in particular is very well informed.

Thanks very much for the  reply, they have them on special at the moment.
We have bought a Syncro !! it's a 1990 camper. 2 owner,  locally delivered, 177 K , last owner 11 years & serviced by S & T Automotive at Blair Athol , any thing that needed fixing ,was.
We are very excited about it.  Bought it through  Shane at Cartek who are VW repairers. I will give more details and post some photos as soon as I can

Well done and welcome to Syncro World. I am looking for a Syncro Camper at the present time and looking for some help with current price? Could you please give me a guide of what you paid?

Thanks for the welcome, and it's  a very interesting question. We all pay too much but then again.....
Some time ago I bought into a boat share , a traditional carvel planked timber hulled, a beautiful boat and it was very cheap !!  But by the time we made it seaworthy , safe and usable it cost us a fortune.
Like the man said there are two ways to buy a boat.... With the syncro we went the second way, (still with fingers crossed) . Les has given good guides previously.
