Big tyres

Has anyone attempted to fit 225/75/16 tyres to their syncros and if
so how much clearance is there between the rear trailing arm and the
tyre ? This tyre size is a favourite of Bernd Jaeger's but I dont know
if he swaps trailing arms with the 16 inch version.Any info would be
helpful ,thank you ,Eddie Bergodaz.

Eddie,
as we've had exactly this conversion done at Bernd Jaeger's I can say
the following about it:
The clearance between rear trailing arm and tyre is only approx. 5mm
when the tyres are new. This is the case when using the original 14"
trailing arms AND 30mm spacer plates. I have never heard of swapping
traling arms when heard about Jaeger's 225/75/16 conversions - despite
the customers wishes this of course...
