charcoal conister

Hi all,

Does anyone one know where the hose from the bottom of the charcoal canister runs?

It should run back to the air cleaner, mine however just runs up behind the spring support.

The original hose is not there, and I can't see where it should run, or where it can connect to the air cleaner, so if some one had some details I can put this back in.

Also if it's been sucking unfiltered air, I assume it's probably clogged up, does any one know if new ones are available (or if they can be serviced/re-filled?)

On a different topic, underneath, the factory had zip ties with a clip that attaches to the body (on a tiny pin)

Does anyone know if these are still available?

Thanks,

Richard

The tube from the bottom of the canister is an overflow and should go into the chassis rail, the vent to the intake manifold come off the top of the canister, travel across the top of the tank and enters the engine bay in the right hand corner. There is a diaphragm valve that actuates off manifold vacuum and vents the canister.

Thanks Brent, that is where the tube runs.

Odd as the manual shows it going to the air cleaner, and when running it sucks air in through that hose to flush fuel vapours out.
