Check Your Wheels

I have obtained five "syncro" wheels from Sam, and when I had a look at them, I noticed that three of them are 6" and two them are 5.5" (probably from an early syncro or a 2WD). The 6" wheels have a circular centre hole.

Check your wheels as this is a good way to destroy your gearbox.

5.5 2WD (or earlysyncro) 6" syncro Modified 15x6 syncro T4 15x6
Gee I'm glad I've replaced these wheels now! They all looked the
same when they were on the van with the hubcaps on, few things that
were glazed over when I bought my ex-telstra...

Actually, Joanne noticed the difference! This is the third syncro that i have seen like this.

Has anyone here got an early syncro ('87-early'88) with the 5.5" wheels? I'd just like to know what year that they changed to 6" in Australia.
