Does anyone know if the dual cab utes have child restraint anchor points or if they can be put in?
Thanks,
Leighton
No if you want to fit a capsule, you have to fit a bar behind the rear seat upright which has anchor points on it, there is no off the shelf unit available so anything you make will have to be engineered and certified, the other way is to drill holes through the back of the cab behind the seats level with the top of the backrest you will need to fit washers to the bolt either side to strengthen the area and fit the attachment clip, I went through this exercise recently when my daughter come over from nz with the new grandson, I spoke to Steven Muller about this and he stated that they have fitted the bar method to dual cabs previously, give him a call, due to my cab being lined out as a custom cab to do the job would have required stripping the rear wall of its lining, as yours does not have this problem it will be a far easier install, I ended up using the wife’s car for the bub, the capsule has to be restrained by the vehicles body directly and not through the seat belts.
