Hi folks,
it´s done. My new Coil-Over-System for the front axle is ready! I
used the following parts:
shocks: special build shocks from Bilstein Motorsport, with a M52
thread. The shocks have the following stages: 3110/1150 Newton and
have about 60 mm more traffel-length (the body is shorter than the
original vw-shock´s body and the piston rod is a little bit longer)
The springs are race-spring from a german spring-factory, named H&R
at the front i use a rate of 105 N/mm
On the rear axle i used also some shocks from bilstein with the given
stage as the front shocks. The rear shocks have the following length:
Extractet: 640 mm, compressed 386 mm
at the back i used also H&R springs with self-made plates. also with
a M52 thread!
The shock-system is great! I tried it on a very bad track here. There
is no need to compare it with the original shock-system. :-) I am
sooo happy about that!
I will place some photos later :-) They are at home on my desktop...
