. My Caravel has an error on the aus compliance vin number as there was a mistake with one letter changed however it has a letter from VW australia explaining the aluminium typo ?
As well it is only stamped as a 2 seater on the Traker plate as well as the compliance plate even though its a caravel.
Has anyone else got a 4 seats stamped on their Trakker buid plate?
Or a 2 seater caravel compliance plate

Many syncros and 2wd T25s came in as window vans with 2 seats and nothiung in the back other than trim lining. I think that was what mine was as its stamped 2 seater plus the seat conversion sticker for the rear bed seat. My dads syncro is the same and so was my wife's parents T25 2wd - they had a deluxe window van with no rear seats.

Had it for 20 years 170000 klms used it for birdwatching and got a new trakkerdo.
Everard had it for a short time.
Now it just holds the dust cover up as i have not regestered it yet but its started regularly and has short drives around the farm just to keep it rolling.Not home very much as i work OS on a 4on 2 off. One day will get the metal detector and head west. I have an x Telstra van that is the farm workhorse and its a great help here on the hills.
Does a fantastic job and not much short of the perfect general purpose vehicle.

I can top that - my compliance plate says seating for 2 and my rego says seating for 8!!!
Must be the Caravelle thing that Brookvale Spares did when the engine was redone - they must have thrown lots of seats in to get the compliance.
