Hi Folks,
A quick note to show all those who missed out on the campout just prior to the Day of the Volkswagen Victoria.
We planned to meat at Healsville, but I was a bit late so we all ended up getting up to Murrindindi Reserve early to late afternoon.
We had a pretty good turnout after the later afternoon storm went through with;
Andy T3 syncro trakka pop top camper
Mark T3 syncro camper pop top
Scott T3 syncro Camperize Pop top
John T3 syncro trakka pop top camper (3 knob!)
Chris T3 syncro ex-Telstra tin top camper
Andrew T5 4 motion DOKA tray back ute
Awesome photos, Scott…great looking steads. And a big drive down and back for you, well done.
A shout out to Andrew for organizing the campout the night before.
Another great annual event put on by the Volkswagen Club of Victoria.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend the 2 events.
Thanks Gerry.
It was a great weekend of driving my old syncro.
Only issues were: a small stone chip on the front
a low hanging exhaust - which I have already fixed.
Went through a small bush-fire on the side of the freeway and in the medium strip so the van smelt like smoke for a while.
Saw a near catastrophic accident behind me with a car that drifted off the road, saw a pile of dirt and grass so corrected, lost it sideways, darted across the freeway to the medium strip, then corrected back the other way a couple of time before stopping on the side of the road to no doubt change his underwear. I thought he was going to roll for sure! This all happened in a 110km/hr zone.
Thank so much for all the photos Scott. Good to see the one owned by Hart still out there. I intend getting to lot more events once I have my new engine installed in March next year. Looks the camp out was a lot of fun. No doubt there was VW talk all night.
Cheers, Peter
I know you were talking about it - but is that new engine going to be a Subie?
Coming over to the dark side!
