It's the Blue/Orange cover disk with genuine manuals, including owners manual and pdf ETKA for 2WD and syncro.

That motel was

It was reasonably well positioned to continue on to Yarra Glen, however, stayed there as there was the dinner the night before with 'Fletch' from Classic Restors hosted by the Vic VW Club. Whether this happens again I do not know.

Les - For the DOTVW I read your email as basically encouraging the juvenile members of the group who couldn't feed themselves, were prone to temper tantrums without an afternoon sleep, and were uncertain with their continence.

Would you therefore please prepare my name card.

Also got to decide which Syncro to bring.- Ah life's hard.

Thanks for your product placement efforts Les and good luck Francisca with your studies.Look forward to catching up again with our interstaters.
Cheers

Good suggestion Les - I live in the direction of the airport so could drop 1 off on the way back afterwards and carry on to the airport to drop off Phil and Joanne in the other. Phil how would it suit you? Let me know in due course when you need it from as I would like to join others if we camp out night before. Am sure we can arrange something but you will have to bring the kangaroo for the photographs as you seem to be a dab hand at it.
Cheers

Roger,

Phill and Joanne are flying down.   Might I suggest that they bring your second Syncro?

Thanks for your product placement efforts Les and good luck Francesca with your studies.   Look forward to catching up again with our interstaters.

I was going to suggest that Max take the second one but he can’t see over the steering wheel yet!

Cheers

Roger

At last night’s Day of the Volkswagen organizing committee meeting, the T3 Syncro group was allocated a different and much better location for the Day of the Volkswagen.

The previous allocation was at the very far end of a very long and narrow parking area and I took this up with the head of the organizing committee.   It transpires that it was the same area that was allocated for the 2010 event, which puzzled me even further until I learned that the 2010 allocation was based on the possibility that someone might camp on site over night.   The 2010 arrangement was carried forward for 2011.

In the event, flooding just prior to the 2010 event threw all parking allocation into chaos and we had to make our own arrangements; it was Roger who found the spot that we eventually used.

Last night’s reallocation puts us in a very good place and at the opposite end of the whole area to where we were; on the attached map, we have the orange rectangle for the T3 Syncros.

Entry: enter at the second gate and follow the red arrow path until you are inside the racecourse grounds, then follow the blue arrow path all the way around to the top end of the display area.

Attendance: attendance is so far very thin and a lot less than previous years –

Anthony Balint + boys (Francesca studying)

Greg Esposito

Les Harris

Phill & Joanne Lander (bringing Roger’s second Syncro)

Roger Bell

Theo Weiss

Prompt indication of intention to attend would be much appreciated.

Les

Hi Les I plan on attending the event but didn't plan on "displaying " my syncro. If you are however keen on getting more syncros in there I will happily pay the extra $5 and park with you guys. I just have to get a full day's leave pass from the family and find time to wash the bus. Cheers Eddie Bergodaz.

Eddie,

The Day of the Volkswagen is, at least so far, the only day each year that we can get together as a group in Victoria .   It also the only opportunity each year to educate the general public of the existence of this amazing vehicle.   (I have been told by self-styled VW aficionados that VAG never made such a vehicle!)   The entry to show judging is only a ploy to assist in getting our own dedicated spot.   So do please cough up the extra $5 and join us in the group.

Yep, a little bit of crud will add a whole lot of cred. Oh, the places a Syncro can go...

Good Lad!

We are still only seven, and that is with Phill and Joanne bringing Roger’s second Syncro.  Given the number of Syncro owners in Melbourne , we must be able to do better than that.

Les

Les

Thanks for your efforts again in organsing the dedicated Syncro parking area. As I recall the topography, the area depicted by the orange rectangle is indeed on a slope, which should make for a great display.

I indicated back on August 11 that Max and I would be attending. This is has now changed, and in fact Deborah, Alexandra, Max and I will be attending, and very much looking forward to it; the event certainly, and the camaraderie definitely.

Please add our names to your list.

Regards
Mark.

Mark,

How did you go with the front cab bunk?

Dont forget to make the curtain between the front and back of the syncro to get the little ones their own little bedroom.

Cheers,

Skot
