Day of the Volkswagen, Victoria, 06 Sep 2011

The Day of the Volkswagen, organized by the VW Club of Victoria , will be held on 6 November at the Yarra Glen Racecourse and is now four weeks away.   I am on the organizing committee of the VW Club of Victoria , mainly to ensure that we got a dedicated area for the T3 Syncros.   This has been achieved and we have a very good spot indeed.

An early expression of intention to attend will help me with the organizational details.   You can pay online so that you just drive through on arrival.   To get all the Syncros in the one spot, we need to pay the Show Judging entry.   If this is paid online, it is only $25 compared with $35 if paid at the gate on the day.   General parking, which is outside, is $20 so the $5 difference is well worth it.

This can be paid on the VW Club of Victoria website: http://www.vwclub.com.au/

Note that there is a variation in respect of judging that applies to our group only.  The VW Club is trialling a new judging process this year whereby vehicles entered for judging are running through a special entry lane.   This does not apply to the T3 Syncro entry because we have our own dedicated parking area.   On arrival, enter through the main entry gate, not the judging gate.

I will be doing name tags and vehicle tags again this year.

Paid up a couple of days ago Les. Looking forward to it. Thanks for your efforts. Greg E

Greg,
Yes, not sure about the muscle bit at the moment
I'm still running it in. (Thanks Ken for the Repco special).
I also installed an oil cooler, Eddie dropped in
to let me have a look at his oil cooler setup to give me some idea
how to do it. I still have issues between LPG &
petrol tune up. I will report back here when everything is running fine.
which, I hope is before the DOTVW.

Cheers,Theo

Dear Les and Phil,
Just back today from Italy where I have been fanging around in the latest A4 Audi s/w hire car. Couldn't access my Yahoo account whilst away so have much reading to do and some photos to post but bit jet lagged at moment.
However I've just registered my Camper for DTVW and wanted to let you know Les for name tags etc.
Phil are you still happy to take my Caravelle out if I meet you at the airport? Shall I register it or it would seem better for you to do so as it saves me the money and gains you entry.
Its a silver grey T3 Caravelle Syncro.registration YIG 405
Must get some sleep

Hi Les,

Tony, Oliver and Roland have registered for DOTVW. As I said before, I won't be able to come because of study commitments. I think they're looking forward to it, though. Hope everyone has a fun time.

Francesca.
