Day of the VW- Camping Saturday night?

I'm back from the wilds of Tasmania (and China) and have been talking
to Mark about his trip South for the DOTVW. He suggested some might
enjoy camping overnight at a nearby caravan park so we could enjoy a
bit of VW bonding/quality time. Spoke to Brian who tells me that
around 11 could be attending but other Vice-Presidential commitments
overnight would probably preclude him.(I didn't realise he was a
moose hunting hockey Mum.)I'm attracted to the camping idea as I
loved our overnight stops on the recent Kombis to the Kape trip.
Does it have any attraction to those who propose attending and what
would appeal most? eg 4 star high facility site probably in $20-30
powered double site range eg Big 4 sites at Dandenong or Frankston
or cheaper sites at Beaconsfield or Tooradin.(Nothing listed in my
RACV guide for Cranbourne.) Also would you like to share a bar -b-
cue, eat out (German cuisine?) or whatever for Saturday night's meal?
(Tooradin and Frankston are on the coast).
Post your thoughts and I'll try to organise something appropriate if
there is enough interest.
Have also caught up on some of the recent emails. Ken's/Go Westy's
inclinometer would additionally be useful to ensure level siting of a
camper (or setting it on a suitable slope if your inclination is to
have someone rolling on top of you).
Cheers

Hi Roger,

as you say, would be hopefully an enjoyable evening - does Big 4 allow campfires on their grass?

Maybe there is a state forest nearby :-)

Regards
Mark.

Roger & Mark,

Tooradin is a sweet little spot and very close to Cranbourne.  Dandenong, Frankston and Beaconsfield are all a lot further away.

Brian is the organizer for the display and I am his assistant.  We both have to be there early and we will both be carrying paraphernalia for the display, making a night camping a bit difficult.
