Drive shaft

I am stuck !!!
I need to get the coupling apart to salvage the part with the shaft. It needs replacing in my doka as one of the needle bearings has play in mine.
The pic shows how far i have come but to get the thing apart i have to get out one of the two bearing cups.
Question is HOW ? Anyone out there had some experience with this ?
Any help greatly appreciated. Hart
Hart been a long time but I used to drive one in that forces the opposite end out. clips removed . Once you have driven one cap in the other is pushed out but dont go too far as you then could damage the yoke. The bearing cap is usually still slightly located at that point but usually comes wit a pair of vice grips the last bit.
Once one cap is out you then drive the center back the other way forcing the remaining cap out again dont drive it all the way as you can damage the yoke?
At this point you can usually remove the center then tap the cap out from the inside with a punch? I usually sqeeze them back in with the vice as you get a feel that is hard to get with a press. If using the old parts its worth marking the yokes so you dont put it back together 180 % out

Looking at the picture maybe cut a piece of pipe up to make two half shells tie wire them onto the center spigot <remove the plastic dust seal might help locate> then clamp it in the vice or press and i use selected sockets one smaller than the cap and one bigger then push one cap in forcing the other cap out, sometimes a small pin punch will do the same thing plenty of wd40
cheers

Hi Peter, thanks so much for needed advive ! Got it apart. On the path i
noticed the different oil / dirt seals installed. One looks like an O ring with a
lip the other one ( newer ? ) ls a big fat rubber seal sitting flush on the needle bearing cup.
Also on 3 of the 4 couplings there is a threaded hole blocked with a cut bold and clear silicone sealer. So , these parts migth have been sourced out of Haflinger production ? Always surprises !

Great to be of help Hart Maybe the plugs were for grease nipples ? Think ive seen that before ? When you put the uni back together be care full not to capsize one needle into the cap. This becomes obvious if the clips wont fit . I try to fit each cap with the spigot started in the cap ? This can be achieved by pushing your cap past where it ends up allowing you to fit the bearing onto the spigot before it enters the yoke.
