Ok, so I've got to the point of my build of getting my driveshaft back in. I have 2 so I stripped them both down, A- had .07mm clearance on the inner bush and .17mm on the outer with visible pitting on the bush and shaft (outer end only). B- had .08mm on both inner and outer bushes with no pitting.
B is my best option to replace the universal joints on but does anyone know what the wear limits are on these bushes? .08mm seems to me to be getting on the high side but I have not been able to find any specifications on these.
My other options are a solid shaft of fixed length or one with a slip joint, are ther any pros or cons to these?
