engine designations

Just a quick question, the engine number DH## has a displcment of 1900 cc correct? I just ask as it is not listed in the book I have been reading and l'm just after the engine specs. My van with this engine seems to be faster on the road then my other vans. Is it the engine or the gearing. I'm comparing it to another 2wd with a MV engine. Just doing so background work before commiting to an engine spec.for the syncro rebuild.

any help would be appreciate.

Cheers,
Michael.R

Hi Michael,

that´s right, the DH hast got 1913 cc with 83 hp and a catalytic
converter. This motor was for the US marked.
Here is still list (in german) with the orginal engine numbers.

What numbers are at your gearboxes?

There were only ever two types of Transporter engines sold in Australia. 1900 D? for leaded fuel and the 2100 MV with cat. All syncro engines are MV.
