engine rebuild time

Hopping someone can give me some clues on rebuilding my syncro motor with a bit more grunt. as we run our T3 2wd on gas and have done for a long time. I will probable start with the same formula run the DJ pistons not the normal MV ones. I plan to run my syncro on LPG as well. the DJ ones should get me a little more compression. But what else are people doing? Can the heads be cleaned up at all? what cams and cam timing are people using? If any one can help it would be appreciate or if you can point me to a web page, that would be a help.

Cheers,

Michael R

82 mm or 84.5mm crank with 96.5 or 97mm wisco pistions making a 2.4 or 2.5L motor.

Im building a 2.4. using go westy cam, rods and pistions.
I acquired a 2.1 crank from DPR machine alternatively in the USA - you can have the std 76mm crank offset ground to cheve journals to get the 82mm stroke and it is also counterweighted

Factory ECU is retained
I will be running LPG too
yep the old 2.1 is pretty slow.
i just went up my local beach this week

I believe Rudi has made his 2.1 a 2.3L if that's any help, runs LPG
too. May be some others who have done similar.

sorry must be confused I'm sure I was having a chat with someone on a
syncro get together who had a 2.3 and was very happy with the power
gains. Anyways!
